To change user behavior is a very difficult thing. To change someone’s behavior, a product or service must offer incredible value in terms of cost savings, convenience, something.

PC user behavior is about to change. Although Google Desktop Search is not perfect, I believe it will significantly change how many people use their PCs. I use X1 to search my email and while it’s much less than perfect, I never use Outlook’s search capabilities any more. Searching for files using Windows Explorer is a complete disaster but I was getting value from Google Desktop Search shortly after downloading it. Blinkx also has its fans, but I think Google’s name recognition is going to win the day.
